Peas manager 'charged with Hilton assault'

The manager of the Black Eyed Peas has reportedly turned himself over to police following allegations that he punched Perez Hilton.

The celebrity blogger, real name Mario Lavandeira, has accused Polo Molina and band member will.i.am of assaulting him after an altercation outside a Toronto nightclub yesterday.

According to The AP, police have now charged Molina with assault after he handed himself over to authorities today. He is due in court on August 5.

Hilton has claimed that he was left bleeding following the alleged attack, while it is understood that he later admitted to calling will.i.am a "f*ggot" after the singer asked him not to write about his band.

However, will.i.am has rubbished the blogger's claims and insisted that he was "minding his own business" when Hilton started the argument.

A spokesperson for the Black Eyed Peas has declined to comment.
