Hilton: 'Gay group owes me apology'

WENN

Perez Hilton has said that the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) owes him an apology.

The gay rights group issued a statement earlier today that chastised the blogger for using anti-gay slurs in a 12-minute video blog about his alleged attack by will.i.am's manager Polo Molina.

However, despite a call for him to apologise over the derogatory terms he used, Hilton, who is a former employee of the watchdog organisation, said that he is waiting for its forgiveness, TMZ reports.

He explained: "I am saddened GLAAD chose to victimise me further by criticising me for how I non-violently dealt with a very scary situation that, unfortunately, turned violent.

"While I doubt I will get an apology from GLAAD, nor do I expect one, I would just hope people know how difficult it is to intellectualise a situation and think rationally when a thug disguised as a musician is screaming at your face and intimidating you."

Meanwhile, Hilton and musician John Mayer exchanged war of words regarding the incident through their Twitter pages.
