Miranda Tozier Robbins, 26, has denied two misdemeanour charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct stemming from the incident in Calabasas, California, in April.
Robbins, who appeared on the fifth season of Idol, was arrested after security guards caught her prowling the property dressed in camouflaged fatigues.
According to TMZ, a judge at the Los Angeles court said that she was confident a deal could be negotiated between Robbins and the police but still set a pretrial date of July 17.
Earlier this month, Spears gained a temporary restraining order against Robbins that requires the latter to stay at least 100 yards away from her and her home.
