Kate Nash laughs off marriage rumours

Kate Nash has denied reports that she married her Cribs boyfriend Ryan Jarman in a rushed wedding earlier this year.

The 'Foundations' singer insisted that rumours about the nuptials were untrue and that her mother had even contacted her to find out the truth.

"She read that I had all my close family and friends with me in America for my wedding and texted me, demanding, 'Where was my invitation, then?' But the story wasn't true - Ryan and I had gone to his sister's wedding, not our own," Contactmusic quotes her as saying.

The star also claimed that she has no plans to marry Jarman in the near future.

"There definitely won't be wedding bells yet. I'm only 22 - there's plenty of time for that," she added.

Nash recently revealed that she was teaming up with Metronomy for a new underground dance project.
