The 'Thriller' star passed away from suspected cardiac arrest in Los Angeles earlier today. He was 50-years-old.
Speaking on Sky News, long-time friend Geller said: "Everyone is devastated worldwide. It's shocking. Everyone was waiting for this huge comeback and I know for a fact that he was rehearsing, practising and was in good shape.
"He sat right here where I am sitting. He was my best man. Just to think that the world has lost Michael Jackson and he is not alive anymore, it's just surreal. It still cannot penetrate into my psyche. I can't believe Michael is gone."
Geller refused to discuss when he last spoke to Jackson or recent speculation over the singer's health, but confessed that their relationship had experienced "ups and downs".
"I had rows with him. I think I was one of the few people who dared to shout at him when I thought he was doing the wrong things," he explained.
"I pray to God that his soul is in heaven and I can feel the sadness and the shock factor that is emanating out from hundreds of millions of people around the world who are trying to digest the hard fact that he is gone."
