Lisa Marie Presley pays tribute to Jackson

Lisa Marie Presley has paid tribute to ex-husband Michael Jackson following the news that he has passed away.

The 50-year-old singer was pronounced dead from a suspected cardiac arrest at the UCLA Medical Centre last night. An autopsy will be performed later today.

In a statement given to BBC News, she said: "I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible.

"I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me."

Presley was married to the 'Thriller' star from 1994 until 1996 and the couple reportedly remained friendly following their split.
