Liz Taylor 'devastated' by Jackson death

Dame Elizabeth Taylor has reportedly claimed that she is "too devastated" to comment on the death of Michael Jackson.

The 'Thriller' star passed away from a suspected cardiac arrest at the UCLA Medical Centre last night. An autopsy will be performed later today.

In a statement, her representative said: "Dame Elizabeth Taylor is too devastated by the passing of her dear friend Michael Jackson to issue a statement at this time.

"We will direct her words to you once we receive them."

Taylor was known to have been one of Jackson's closest friends and several unconfirmed reports have suggested that she is currently at the Los Angeles hospital with his family.
