Minnelli pays tribute to best man Jackson

Liza Minnelli has paid tribute to her longtime friend Michael Jackson.

Jackson introduced Minnelli to her future husband David Gest at his 30th Anniversary Concert in 2001 and later served as co-best man at their wedding.

Minnelli called the late star a "kind, genuine and wonderful man" before hailing his talents as a performer.

"He was one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived," she said. "I loved him very much and I will miss him every remaining day of my life."

Jackson, 50, passed away at a Los Angeles hospital last night after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest.
