Applegate urges Fawcett charity donations

Christina Applegate has urged fans of Farrah Fawcett to donate money to cancer charities.

The Samantha Who? star was declared 100% clear of breast cancer last year after undergoing a double mastectomy.

She said that fans of Fawcett, who lost her battle with anal cancer yesterday, should honour the Charlie’s Angels star's memory by donating money to charities which research the disease.

She wrote on her Twitter page: "Today please donate money to a great cancer organisation for research. This damn disease has taken another. We must find a cure. Farrah RIP."

Applegate was recently featured on the cover of People magazine’s '100 Most Beautiful' issue.
