The phone call was placed from the singer's Holmby Hills, California residence yesterday at 12.21pm (PST).
The person who made the call said that Jackson was not breathing and was unresponsive to attempts at CPR, TMZ reports.
The unidentified caller also explained that Dr Conrad Murray was the only witness. "The doctor has been the only one here," he said.
In the almost two minute conversation, which was released earlier this evening, a man could be heard saying:
"I need an ambulance as soon as possible. We have a gentleman here who needs help. He's not breathing and we're trying to pump him, but he's not responsive. He's not conscious."
He was then told by the dispatcher to move Jackson from the bed to the floor.
"We have a personal doctor here with us, sir. But he's not responding to anything, he's not responding to CPR or anything. He's pumping his chest and he's not responding to anything."
The 50-year-old was later pronounced dead at UCLA Medical Centre after suffering suspected cardiac arrest.
The LAPD are reportedly hunting for Murray following allegations that Jackson was given a potentially fatal painkiller dose.
