Dr Conrad Murray previously denied that he was responsible for the star's heart attack, while he was part of a three-hour interview with the LAPD yesterday.
Murray is free to travel but has decided to stay in Los Angeles "out of the goodness of his heart", TMZ reports. His lawyer said that there was "no need for further questioning" and that his client "wants to help out as much as possible".
He was the 50-year-old's personal physician and was with him when Jackson collapsed at his Holmby Hills home.
It has been claimed, however, that police are now searching for a second doctor connected to Jackson's death.
