Redmond O'Neal, 24, is currently serving a jail sentence at the Pitchness Detention Centre in Castaic, California after violating his probation on drugs charges.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, a spokesperson for the L.A. County Sheriff's department confirmed that O'Neal would be present at this afternoon's private memorial.
He will be accompanied to the burial by two deputies and a sergeant and will be allowed to stay for the entire duration of the service. The representative added that it has not been decided whether he will be required to wear handcuffs.
O'Neal last saw the former Charlie's Angels star on April 25, when he was granted a three-hour visit by the court.
Fawcett, 62, passed away on June 25 following a three-year battle with anal cancer.
