Speaking to reporters outside his Los Angeles home, Joe Jackson claimed that a funeral for the 'Thriller' star will not take place until the results of a second autopsy are released.
"We’re not ready for that... We’re trying to wait on something else. We’re searching to see what happened to Michael," he explained.
"They’re doing it right now and I’m expecting to hear about it right now."
The 80-year-old went on to say that the funeral "would not be closed down all the way to the public" but that the family are hoping to have "some private elements".
He added that reports suggesting that his son would be buried at the Neverland Ranch were "untrue".
Jackson, 50, passed away at the UCLA Medical Centre last Thursday following a suspected cardiac arrest.
