A memorial service to be held for fans of Michael Jackson has caused a frenzy for hotel rooms in the area.

It was announced yesterday that a public viewing of the late star's body will take place on Friday at his Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, to which he will be transported via a 30-car motorcade tomorrow.

According to TMZ, California's Fess Parker Wine Country Inn in Los Olivos sold out in 20 minutes after the news of the viewing hit the media. The Inn is said to be booked solid from Thursday until Sunday.

Two other hotels in the surrounding area are also reported to be filled to capacity with reservations.

It was reported earlier that Neverland Ranch may become a permanent shrine to the popstar.
