Actress Mollie Sugden dies, aged 86

Mollie Sugden has died at the age of 86, her agent has said.

The actress passed away at the Royal Surrey Hospital following a long illness, BBC News reports.

She was best-known for her role as Mrs Slocombe in the BBC's long-running comedy Are You Being Served?.

Sugden also starred in The Liver Birds and Coronation Street.

The star recently paid tribute to Wendy Richard, who died from cancer in February.
