O'Neal 'banned son from Fawcett funeral'

Ryan O'Neal barred his eldest son Griffin from appearing at Farrah Fawcett's funeral, it has been reported.

According to Contactmusic, Fawcett's long-term partner and his son have been estranged for two years after they were engaged in a brutal fight which resulted in Ryan firing a shotgun into a stairwell.

A service for the former Charlie's Angels actress was held on Tuesday in Los Angeles. Hours after the private funeral, Ryan reportedly said that Griffin was not allowed to attend because "he's a bad guy".

However, Griffin told Extra that Fawcett would have wanted him to be there, saying: "She's mad I'm not in there."

His half-brother Redmond, who is currently serving a jail sentence for violating his parole on drug charges, was allowed to attend his mother's burial.
