Debbie Rowe will have her lawyer present in the matter of guardianship for Prince Michael, 12, and 11-year-old Paris Katherine, E! reports.
"I confirm that Mr George will be attending the Monday hearing on Ms Rowe's behalf," attorney Marta Almli said. "I cannot comment regarding what positions will be taken at the hearing."
It is unclear if Rowe will seek guardianship or visitation rights, or how the outcome of the hearing will affect Jackson's youngest child Blanket, 7.
"Courts do split up kids, not infrequently, in blended families when one parent dies," explained Scott Altman, associate dean at the University of Southern California's Law School.
According to the late singer's will, his mother Katherine has been named as the beneficiary of a family trust and will serve as the guardian of the children. Singer Diana Ross was listed as backup caretaker should his parent pass away or be unable to look after the youngsters.
The legal document also "intentionally excluded" Rowe from receiving any monies from her former husband. The kids are currently residing with Katherine, after she petitioned to be their guardian last Friday.
Earlier this week, it was suggested that neither Jackson nor Rowe were the children's biological parents. However, Rowe's lawyer later dismissed the claims.
