Former Beatles manager Klein dies at 77
Allen Klein has died at the age of 77, it has been reported.

The former Beatles manager, who was blamed by many for contributing to the downfall of the group, passed away after suffering from Alzheimer's, reports the BBC.

While having a reputation as being ruthless, others in the music business disagreed, regarding his ability to negotiate record deals with admiration.

Klein had once said that John Lennon had hired him because he wanted "a real shark - someone to keep the other sharks away".

Aside from managing The Beatles, Klein's five-decade long career also included work with The Rolling Stones for five years.

Klein's funeral will take place on Tuesday in New York.
