Richards denies 'exploiting' her daughters

Denise Richards has insisted that she is not exploiting her children on her reality series.

The 38-year-old actress has said that she is a responsible parent and denies taking advantage of her two daughters, 4-year-old Lola and 5-year-old Sam, by allowing them to appear on her E! television show Denise Richards: It's Complicated, according to Contactmusic.

Richards said: "Everyone is so judgmental when it comes to raising kids: if you breastfeed or not, feed them only organic foods. The bottom line is, I'm not exploiting my children. They are only on screen for about a minute here and there. The show isn't about them.

"I get to incorporate them into the show - which means I can take them to school as part of my job. How many single working mums can say that?"

The reality star has also admitted that she would be watchful of her daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen as they are growing up.

She added: "As a parent now, it's harder to keep tabs on our children, but I will be vigilant.

"When we were teenagers, my dad used to tap our phone. He worked for the phone company, so he had all the equipment."
