Debbie Rowe, the mother of Jackson's two eldest children, is understood to have secured tickets to the ceremony at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
Speaking on ABC's Good Morning America, the star's former business associate Marc Schaffel said: "Debbie will attend. We just got confirmation last night from the people who are handling the VIP seats that they do have Debbie’s seats and she will be attending."
He went on to say that Rowe had "not been able to make contact" with the family since learning of Jackson's death, explaining: "There were several tries, just for the fact of phone numbers that had changed, you know, answering machines that were full. Contact had not been able to happen prior."
Schaffel refused to comment on reports that Rowe will seek custody of Prince Michael, 12, and 11-year-old Paris Katherine.
