The cast and crew of the stage production Thriller - Live will honour the late Michael Jackson by dimming their theatre lights on Tuesday night.

Tributes will be held at the Lyric Theatre in London and outside the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham at 7.30pm, to coincide with the planned memorial service being held for Jackson in Los Angeles.

It is understood that those involved with the stage show will gather at both venues to give speeches and hold a one-minute silence with the audience.

Thriller - Live, which opened earlier this year, features songs from the careers of both Jackson and the Jackson 5.

The public memorial service for Jackson will be held tomorrow at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles. A total of 8,750 pairs of tickets have been distributed to fans who entered a lottery organised by AEG Live.
