Last week, Katherine petitioned for guardianship of her three grandchildren, Prince Michael, 12, Paris Michael Katherine, 11, and 7-year-old Prince Michael II. According to reports, she will continue to be their temporary guardian, but has not been granted power of his assets.
John Branca and John McClain, the original executors in the pop icon's 2002 will, have been named special administrators of the estate until August 3.
"We believe Judge Beckloff made the correct decision," said Howard Weitzman, an attorney for the executors.
"We intend to carry out the wishes Michael Jackson set forth. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jackson family this week in remembering Michael as a beloved father, son and brother, and as the world honours his remarkable legacy as an artist."
