Jackson family gather for private viewing

Friends and family of Michael Jackson are reported to have gathered for a private viewing of his body in Los Angeles last night.

Relatives including his sister La Toya, brother Randy and 11-year-old daughter Paris were photographed arriving at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park to pay their last respects to the the star ahead of today's funeral.

US media also aired footage of a black hearse arriving at the facility carrying what was believed to be Jackson's casket, while hundreds of fans lined the entrances to the memorial park.

Jackson, who passed away on June 25, will be remembered by his family in a private funeral later today, before his casket is transported to the Staples Centre ahead of a public tribute.
