'Dragon' Theo Paphitis awarded degree

Dragons' Den star Theo Paphitis has been awarded an honorary degree by Middlesex University.

The multi-millionaire entrepreneur was handed the title Lord Sheppard of Didgemere yesterday.

"He looked over the moon and made a lot of effort with his gown," a witness told The Sun. The Rymans boss was dressed in a red and black gown and traditional mortarboard for the ceremony.

Paphitis, who has an estimated wealth of £165 million, left school at 16 and is dyslexic. He has appeared on the Dragons' Den panel since 2005.
