Ex-manager: 'Spears family ruined my life'

Britney Spears's former manager has reportedly accused the popstar and her family of ruining his life.

According to TMZ, Sam Lutfi has filed new legal papers in his defamation claim in relation to a book published by Spears's mother Lynne.

Lutfi had alleged that many of the statements made about him in Through The Storm had been false.

In additional papers filed in Los Angeles, Lutfi has now claimed that he is "constantly in fear for my life" because of the allegations, adding that he has been "harassed and cajoled by the public".

He has also called upon Spears's paparazzo ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib to act as a character witness. Ghalib is understood to have written a declaration discrediting the claim that Lutfi held Spears hostage at one stage.

Lutfi was recently ordered to stay away from Spears, her home and her workplace for the next three years.
