Duff made youth ambassador in Colombia

Hilary Duff has been named as a youth ambassador to the children of the Colombian capital Bogota, says WENN.

The former Lizzie McGuire star will reportedly receive the honour from mayor Samuel Moreno in an official ceremony next month.

It is understood that she will spend five days in the South American country giving out backpacks filled with food, in association with the non-profit organisation Blessing For Backpacks.

The dates for her visit have not yet been released.

Duff, 21, was recently linked to a role in The CW's drama Gossip Girl. It has been reported that she will play a movie star in the fourth episode of the show's next season.
