The former boyfriend of Britney Spears will reportedly stand trial after allegedly using his car to knock down a process server.

Adnan Ghalib, 36, was charged with assault using a deadly weapon, battery and hit-and-run after being accused of striking Ram Moskowitz in Los Angeles earlier this year.

According to TMZ, the paparazzo has now been ordered to stand trial after a judge decided that there was enough evidence to prosecute him.

Mokowitz has claimed that he was forced to cling to the bonnet of Ghalib's car in order to avoid being thrown to the ground and received a broken wrist in the attack.

Ghalib did not attend the preliminary hearing yesterday. He will be arraigned on July 23 and could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
