The Oxford-born actress, who plays Hermione Granger in the magical franchise, is reported to have bought a townhouse in North London near her father's home.
Speaking to The Mirror, a source said: "Despite the fame, she's really got her head screwed on.
"After consulting with several property experts, as well as her family and friends, she's decided to invest in her own place... It's just a stone's throw from her dad Chris's house. So she can pop round for a Sunday roast whenever she fancies."
The insider added: "Emma's off to university in America soon but was determined to put some roots down in England first."
Watson can next be seen in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is released everywhere on July 15.
