Aaron Carter: "Lindsay Lohan is a troublemaker"

Aaron Carter has spoken for the first time about the long-running feud between former best friends Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff.

Pop singer Carter, 16, began seeing Lohan secretly while still going out with Duff in 2002.

He explained to Star magazine: "Lindsay is a troublemaker! She always has been, and that's coming from knowing her for five years. When I broke up with her in 2002, I said, 'Goodbye! I don't want any more of you!' She was really, really possessive. I haven't spoken to her in two years.

"My brother Nick told me to stay away from her. He saw her at a club in LA, and she was really, really rude to him for no reason. Nick said to her, 'I know why you're being mean. It's because of my brother."

Now he regrets doing the dirty on Duff, however, and is desperate to get back with her.

"I'm still madly in love with her," he added. "I'm not with her, but that's just how it is. I messed up. I cheated on her with her best friend, which was very stupid of me and I regret it to this day... I didn't mean to do it, it just happened. But I still speak with Hilary every once in a while."
