Mills: 'Cafe success is unbelievable'

Heather Mills has claimed that her new business venture is shaping up to be a huge success.

The former model opened vegan cafe V-Bites in Brighton earlier this month following weeks of preparation for the project.

Discussing the public's response on Twitter yesterday, Mills explained: "Just got a call from V-Bites - 3000 plus today - unbelievable. So happy people are loving it."

In an earlier update, she had admitted: "I am knackered but on an adrenaline high - and getting to watch people eat great food everyday. What more could I want?"

Mills, 41, has previously spoken of how she hopes the cafe will help to change people's perceptions of the vegan lifestyle.

Addressing an audience at the Brighton Foodies Festival last month, she claimed: "They just think that it's boring nut roasts and lots of hippy people who they think haven't washed for months - but that's not what being vegan is about.

"It's about being animal friendly, saving the environment and the planet. The biggest contributor of global warming is the consumption of meat and dairy, but of course they are not going to tell you that."

Mills was awarded £24.3 million in her divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney last year.
