Alesha Dixon has admitted that she is struggling to find a boyfriend - because men seem reluctant to chat her up.

The 30-year-old popstar, who insisted that she was not ready for romance in February, confirmed that she is now open to offers from men who want to date her.

Discussing her love life in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, Dixon revealed: "It's pretty non-existent. I haven't been on a date for a while. Not that I'm not dating or I'm opposed to meeting someone. It's just there's really nothing to write home about. I don't get any guys chatting me up. Honestly. Well, unless they're chatting me up and I just don't notice."

Asked to describe her ideal man, she replied: "Looks-wise, I don't have a type. Whether it's a white guy, black guy, a tall, short, fat or skinny guy [it] doesn't bother me. I take people as I find them. It's the character that usually attracts me - a certain spark."

Dixon split from her husband MC Harvey in 2006 after his affair with Popstars contestant Javine Hylton was exposed.

The singer was recently recruited for the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel, replacing professional choreographer Arlene Phillips.
