Moss 'gave great advice' to Jo Wood

Ronnie Wood's estranged wife Jo has credited Kate Moss for helping her through her marriage split.

Rolling Stone Ronnie walked out on his wife of 23 years last summer after deciding to start a new relationship with teenage bargirl Ekaterina Ivanova.

Jo, 53, later announced that she was "free from cooking and moaning" following the rocker's departure.

Reflecting on the early days of their marriage breakdown, she has now admitted: "It was my friends and family who surrounded me and got me through. But you know what? Kate gave me great advice. Even though you feel like it, you can't hide away. It's not the end of the world.

"It was horrendous. For the first few weeks I was in a total state. I didn't know what to do - I was just crying and I couldn't believe what had happened.

"I wasn't going to be broken by my marriage falling apart. When things get rough, Jo gets going. I picked myself up and recycled myself for a whole new life - and the truth is, I think I'm happier than I ever was before."

Wood revealed her intention to file for divorce from her husband in May.
