Alana Stewart to publish Fawcett book

Alana Stewart is to publish a diary she kept during Farrah Fawcett's ordeal with anal cancer.

Rod Stewart's ex-wife, who was the late Charlie’s Angels star's best friend, has written My Journey with Farrah: A Story of Life, Love, and Friendship, according to Radar Online.

She said: "Farrah had originally encouraged me to write this book - it was her idea. My hope is that people will find this book to be a heartfelt tribute to my friend of 30 years and her valiant fight against cancer."

Stewart featured in NBC documentary Farrah’s Story and attended private funeral services for the actress, who died on June 25 at the age of 62.

All proceeds from the book, which is scheduled for release on August 11, will benefit Fawcett's cancer research charity.
