Whitney Houston has reportedly enjoyed a free shopping spree at Topshop after store boss Sir Philip Green opened the flagship Oxford Street shop especially for her.

According to This Is London, the singer was instructed to take whatever she wanted from the clothing chain after inviting Green to an exclusive showcase for her comeback album in Knightsbridge.

"He was so impressed that he offered her the VIP Topshop trip. Sir Philip kept the shop open immediately after closing time, and gave all of the staff crisp £50 notes as a thank you for staying on," said one source.

"Whitney grabbed bags and bags of stuff, but only chose one item of clothing for herself. She was overheard saying her 16-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina likes Topshop, so chose everything for her except for a Union Jack cardigan which she chose for herself."

The insider added that Houston "happily posed with staff for pictures and signed autographs" during her visit to the store.

I Look To You, her first album in seven years, is scheduled for release on August 31 in the UK and September 1 in the US.
