'Home and Away' star named Miss Vaseline

Actress and presenter Kate Ritchie has been named Miss Vaseline - the new ambassador of the brand in Australia.

The ex-Home and Away star attended the launch of the lubricant's advertising campaign yesterday, despite being struck down with the flu over the last few days.

During the event, which took place at a restaurant overlooking the famous Sydney Opera House, the star told News.com.au: "I was in my flannelette pyjamas and really didn't know if I was going to get myself here."

Ritchie currently hosts a local breakfast radio show but is rumoured to be considering a return to the Australian soap as Sally Fletcher.
