O'Neal denies affair with Stewart

Ryan O'Neal has rubbished rumours that he cheated on his late girlfriend Farrah Fawcett with her best friend.

The actor's son Griffin O'Neal is among those accusing his father of having an affair with Alana Stewart as the Charlie's Angels actress was dying of cancer.

Griffin told Touch Weekly magazine: "They were sharing a room together." He added that Fawcett's father Jim walked in on the couple in bed while visiting his sick daughter, saying: "It made Jim uncomfortable, so he packed his bags and went home."

Griffin's allegations have been backed up by friend Javier Salazar, who described O'Neal and Stewart's relationship as "fishy". Fawcett's former business partner added: "Ryan and Alana are a little too cosy with each other."
