Clancy engaged to footballer Crouch

Model Abbey Clancy and footballer boyfriend Peter Crouch are engaged after he reportedly popped the question during a recent holiday.

The England and Portsmouth star is believed to have proposed to Clancy, who he has been dating for four years, while on vacation in Sardinia. An agent for Crouch confirmed the engagement last night.

Speaking to The Sun, a friend said: "Abbey was thrilled. She didn't have to think about it and said, 'Yes' immediately. She cried tears of joy and melted into his arms. It was such a happy, romantic and magical moment.

"He has been thinking about getting engaged for some time. But he wanted to wait for the ideal moment. As a bit of a romantic, he thought it would be a great idea to ask Abbey to marry him when it was just the two of them together in Sardinia."

Crouch and his 23-year-old fiancée, who previously appeared in Hell's Kitchen, are reportedly hoping for a large wedding but have not yet set a date.
