Beckham son 'asks for tattoo'

David Beckham has revealed that one of his sons wants to get a tattoo.

The footballer, who recently had a ring of roses inked on his left arm, claimed that his children are eager to follow in his footsteps.

"One of them said to me recently, 'How old do I have to be before I get a my first tattoo,'" he told NBC's Today Show.

He added: "I was like, 'A lot older than you are now'."

During the interview, Beckham admitted that he struggled to be apart from his family while on loan to AC Milan earlier this year.

"As a family, as a father, it was the toughest time since I have had my boys," he said.

"They came out to see me every eight weeks for a week but I hate being away from them for an hour let alone that amount of time. It is great to be back in California and back with my wife and my boys.

"I got to speak to Victoria [on the computer], which I enjoy, then the boys would run in and out and say hi before running back out to play again."

Today Show host Matt Lauer later revealed that Beckham had given him his desginer suit following the interview.
