Noel Fielding eyes zombie record

Noel Fielding has announced that he will attempt to break the world record for the largest gathering of zombies.

The current record for a group of people dressed as the undead creatures stands at 3, 370. Fielding's attempt will be filmed as part of Film4 production I Spit on Your Rave, in which the Mighty Boosh appears as a zombie king.

It will take place at this year's Big Chill festival at Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire.

Festival goers are expected to arrive as zombies so they can be shot as extras, although there will be "zombification" stations to attend to those not meeting standards.

A Big Chill spokesman said: "White face make-up and a bit of fake blood will do, festival organisers would love it if participants could go the whole hog."

The festival will take place from the August 6 to August 9.
