Katie Price 'ready to adopt an orphan'

Katie Price is planning to adopt an orphan after losing Peter Andre's baby, a report has claimed.

According to the News Of The World, the reality TV star is desperate to be a mother again but cannot bear the idea of getting pregnant so soon after her ordeal.

The 31-year-old recently revealed that she lost a baby just weeks before Andre decided to dump her in May.

Price is now said to have told a friend: "I want more children but there's no way I'm rushing into the physical upheaval of getting pregnant again after losing Pete's baby. The pain of that was too much to bear.

"I've been blessed with success and financial security and I feel it's time to share that."

The model has previously discussed the possibility of adopting on a number of occasions. In February 2008, she announced that she was looking for "a disabled child from this country". Six months later, the star confirmed that she was also open to the possibility of adopting from abroad.
