Lindsay Lohan: 'I'm happy with Ronson'

Lindsay Lohan has announced that she is trying to resolve her problems with girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

The pair were spotted enjoying a "peaceful date" in Los Angeles last week amid continuing media speculation about their turbulent romance.

Speaking to The People, Lohan confirmed: "All people see from the outside is our rowing. But there are a lot of times when we are very happy together. We have split a few times but are really trying to make it work."

However, the 23-year-old actress admitted that she expects to become embroiled in new bust-ups with Ronson at any moment, despite their strong feelings for each other.

She revealed: "I am so in love with Sam but the truth is neither of us can ever stop arguing with one another. I wake up every morning and despite being more in love with Sam than I have been with anyone in the past, in all honesty I don't know if we'll still be together by the time we go to bed."

Lohan's father Michael recently warned that her movie career would suffer if she stuck with Ronson.
