Fawcett son 'promised to be good'

The 24-year-old is currently serving a sentence at the Pitchness Detention Centre in Castaic, California, stemming from a drug arrest in April.
However, O'Neal was granted permission to attend the Charlie's Angels star's private memorial, after she lost her bout with anal cancer on June 25.
The incarcerated youth was allowed to speak to his mother prior to her death, People reports.
Redmond's father Ryan said: "I held the phone to her ear, so I'm not exactly sure, but I think [Redmond's conversation with Fawcett] was about regret. And the horror of, of not being able to see her again. And the promise - the promise of a good life. Of a life that she would be proud of."
He added: "And he knows that, finally. It's clear. And he has a plan - a wonderful plan in mind to restore order in his life. And he will, with my help."
It was reported earlier that Fawcett's long-time companion banned his eldest son Griffin from attending the actress's funeral.
