Romance could finally be on the cards for Brian McFadden and Delta Goodrem, according to The Mirror.

Over the past few weeks, the stars have both denied tabloid rumours that they are dating. However, following Delta's split from tennis star Mark Philippoussis, Brian and Delta are now both free agents.

A source who saw the pair together in the recording studio told the newspaper, "The atmosphere has definitely changed between them. In the studio there's no mistaking the chemistry.

"It's obvious that Brian has always had a soft spot for Delta, but while she was with Mark nothing could happen.

"Now they are both free agents and it shouldn't be too long before it really starts going somewhere.

"She's going back to Australia and he's going to Scandinavia but the signs are looking promising."
