The TV personality, who was a close friend of the superstar singer, allegedly made his remarks after discovering Jackson motionless on a bed following a drugs binge.
Speaking on a new ITV documentary, Geller revealed: "You know I shouted, I really shouted, 'Michael stop it, Michael you will die - you're killing yourself. Look at you, the world needs you, nobody wants to lose you'.
"And he was there in bed and he just stared at me and, you know, I'm sure he knew of course, I'm sure he knew but only God knows now why, why he did this."
He added: "I've never seen him take anything but I've seen the aftermath - and the aftermath sometimes was devastating."
The star also admitted that Michael would become defensive when quizzed over his growing problem, warning Geller not to meddle in his personal life.
Jackson passed away in Los Angeles last month. It is believed that his death resulted from a drugs overdose.
My Friend Michael Jackson: Uri's Story airs on ITV1 this Sunday at 8pm.
