Lovato praises "amazing" Cyrus friendship

Camp Rock star Demi Lovato has praised her close friend Miley Cyrus for helping her cope with the pressures of being famous.

The actress and singer, who achieved worldwide fame opposite the Jonas Brothers in the Disney movie, told Sugar that she shared an "amazing" friendship with the Hannah Montana star.

"I call her Dragon from our favourite film Step Brothers," Just Jared quotes her as saying.

"We talk every day and she's given me so much advice. Recently she sent me this four-page text message encouraging me and telling me she has faith in me. It was so inspiring and made me feel great - because I do get overwhelmed by the paps sometimes."

Lovato, 16, recently split from Cyrus's older brother Trace, the frontman of band Metro Station. He later blamed the separation on work pressures and their age difference.
