Quinn extends 'Grease' musical run

Ray Quinn will continue to play Danny in Grease in the West End until November.

The Dancing On Ice champion has extended his run in the musical, which celebrated its second anniversary at the Piccadilly Theatre on July 25.

Quinn's last appearance in the production will be November 28. The producers have also announced a new booking period for the show, with tickets on sale until September 2010.

Emma Stephens, Quinn's real-life girlfriend, is currently playing Sandy.

Meanwhile, Sky1 has confirmed Grease: The School Musical, which will have a similar format to Hairspray: The School Musical. It will follow ordinary secondary school pupils, who get to spend their summer holidays working on a West End production.

Blue's Duncan James will host the series, while Ray Quinn will mentor the students. The show will air in August.
