Pop singer Delta Goodrem has assured fans that she will continue singing her new single, Out Of The Blue, even though it describes her love for tennis star Mark Philippoussis, who reportedly dumped her last month.
The song's lyrics include, "You give me love that I can't disguise, There will be times when we're apart, I want you to know you're in my heart, Growing into a beautiful garden."
As she promoted the new single in the UK, the singer faced embarrassment when she was dumped by Philippoussis.
Delta told the Herald Sun, "It's my song. I think songs have their initial thought, but then they take on a whole new meaning."
She added, "I will never stop being honest. I can't sing a song that doesn't mean anything to me."
Delta has been linked with Brian McFadden, who has been making headlines in recent weeks after splitting from his wife, Kerry.
