Rep: 'Price wants Reid to keep her safe'

Katie Price is spending time with cage fighter Alex Reid because she is desperate to feel safe, a representative for the star has claimed.

The glamour model was first spotted with Reid at Liverpool's Malmaison Hotel last week. Witnesses have claimed that the pair shared a room after enjoying drinks at the bar.

It has since been reported that Price is keen to marry Reid once her divorce from Peter Andre is finalised.

Yesterday, the pair further fuelled rumours of a romance when they were snapped on a film set in Surrey together.

However, a spokesman for Price told the Daily Mail: "He makes Katie feel secure - he is a trained cage fighter and acts as extra security for her.

"She said she wants him there to keep her safe and he did accompany her into her room in Liverpool."

Price split from Andre in May after nearly four years of marriage.
