Price 'has been texting Reid for a year'

Katie Price's new boyfriend Alex Reid first caught her eye a year ago, it has been claimed today.

According to the Daily Star, the glamour model "bombarded" the cage fighter with text messages long before her marriage to Peter Andre broke down in May.

A source revealed: "She got his number from Sol Gilbert, her martial arts trainer, when she saw a picture of him about a year ago.

"She was sending Alex texts even when she was with Peter in LA. But it was only last weekend that they actually got together."

News of the pair's alleged romance first leaked to the press after they were spotted in each other's company at a Liverpool hotel last week. The two were said to have spent the night together, keeping nearby guests awake with "a constant banging".

It has since been reported that Price wants to marry the former Hollyoaks actor once her divorce from Andre is finalised.
