Alex Curran: 'Liverpool has become rough'

Alex Curran has reportedly branded her hometown of Liverpool as "rough", revealing that she does not like going to bars or clubs in the city anymore.

The wife of footballer Steven Gerrard told New magazine that the Northern city had changed in recent years and admitted that she now preferred going out in other locations.

"It's not the same anymore. To be honest, it's rough," the Daily Mail quotes her as saying.

"Everywhere new that opens attracts the wrong type of people. It's not nice, so I haven't bothered to go out."

The 26-year-old was spotted dining at London's Nobu Berkley with Gerrard last night, marking the player's first public outing since he was cleared of an affray charge stemming from a bar brawl last year.
